BUILD THEIR FUTURE
Capital Campaign
Our beautiful new learning facility is fully operational. We now serve an additional 50 children, bringing our enrollment up to 150. The new school building has four classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a play therapy room, social service offices and our Coming Home Family Support Center. The Day Home provides high-quality early childhood education and simutaneously works with parents to provide new life opportunities. We are truly ending the cycle of poverty day by day, family by family.
In 2008, the Day Home was awarded the prestigious Kresge Challenge Grant which gave the capital campaign a tremendous boost. We are incredibly grateful to our many generous donors who helped bring home the $550,000 challenge grant...one of the largest gifts in the history of the Day Home. The hard work and support of so many individuals has brought us to an astonishing total of $6.1 million since the beginning of the campaign. What a gift to our children and families!
Our work is not yet done!
$1.6 million remains of our capital campaign. We must raise this to stop paying the escalating interest fees on construction loans so that every fundraising dollar is applied to programs for our children and their families.
Please help.
This is the final phase of the campaign. There are many ways to help.
- Make a cash or stock gift
- Make a multi-year pledge
- Remember us in your estate planning
- Refer a friend or relative to HFDH for a tour
- If your company has a matching gift program, double your dollars
