The Kresge Foundation Presents a Great Opportunity
You can impact the lives of hundreds of children and their parents and guardians by donating to the campaign in this final stretch. You will be doing your part to stop the cycle of poverty - family by family, day by day.
We have been offered the exciting impetus of a "challenge grant" from the Kresge Foundation which will move us very close to the finish line. At this crucial time in the history of the Day Home we must meet an immediate fundrasing goal of $700,000 by June 30, 2008.
Last fall the Kresge Foundation trustees approved a $550,000 grant, on the condition that the Day Home raise another $1.2 million by June 30, 2008. Donations began pouring in and by the New Year we raised one third of that $1.2 million goal.
Every single gift makes a difference - no matter what size the donation.
Our fundraising efforts have already raised $4.6 million toward our ultimate campaign goal of $7.2 million. Proudly we have begun our second century of service to the community in our beautiful new facility. In this final stretch we are asking you to help us secure the Kresge grant. If you've not yet given a campaign gift, please consider doing so now; if you've already given, please consider making a "stretch gift" to help us complete the capital campaign.
What kinds of gifts will count toward the $700,000 goal?
Except for bequest intentions, all gifts and grants, including signed pledges from individuals, corporations or foundations are acceptable under the terms of the challenge.
Your support at this time is a sound investment in the future of our children and their families. Please give a gift or pledge to the campaign now. If you have questions, call the development office at (415) 565-0504 ext. 201.
